This is a group of students and eye doctors from Kentucky and Indiana that stayed for the
week of March 15th through the 21st.  Another group came in on the 21st of March.  They
gave out eye glasses and did cataract surgeries.  Praise the Lord for their service!
A construction group from Morning Star church came the weeks of March 15th to March 23rd.  They
completed the roof on the new classrooms and completed a new set of stairs.  They also had a Bible school
for the students and visited families in the village.  This group worked so hard and were a blessing!
This group came from North Alabama and stayed from April 14th until April 23rd.  Since they were a small
group, they focused mostly on evangelism and serving the children and adults in the village.  They prayed with
and visited several families in the village, led two Bible studies with the men and women in the village, and led
two activities for the children.  They also started digging the whole for the septic tank at the school, which
another group will finish in June.  They were a blessing to the people here in Chiquimula!
This group came from Parkway Methodist church and Killen UMC in Florence, AL and stayed from June 2nd
until June 10th.  They were a construction group of youth and adults, and they came to construct the septic
tank for the bathrooms at the school, give out clothes to the students, and lead a Bible study for the men in
the village and an activity for the students.  It was a blessing watching these young people work so hard!
This construction/evangelical group worked in the village from June 20th to June 26th.  They were from a church
in North Carolina, and they worked very hard every day they were with us.  They held a VBS for the children in
the village, and they had a day where the ladies in the group worked with the women in the village also.  The
project with the women was extra special to watch.  They made napkins that could hold their tortillas, and they all
had such a good time.  This group also bought all of the supplies to build the bottom bathrooms, and they started
the construction of the bathrooms.  They also helped with other construction projects throughout the week.
This construction/evangelical group was from Highland Park Baptist church in Muscle Shoals, AL.  they
visited from June 25th to July 4th, and they worked very hard constructing a retaining wall in the village.
They also worked with the children and youth in the village each day, and they traveled to a church in the city
to lead a service with songs and testimonies.  Their work and love for the people here in Guatemala were
precious.
