About Us
In February 2002, Global Missions of Mercy, Inc.* (GMM) began.  The
denomination and nature of this Christian ministry is to contribute to the
promotion, conscientiousness, and social Christian development of the poorest of
the poor in the mountains of Chiquimula, Guatemala.  This ministry emphasizes
the love and mercy of Jesus Christ, in favor of the most needing ones.  Global
Missions of Mercy is a private and non-profit organization, and it does not interfere
with the laws of each country in which it was created.
The purposes and objectives of this ministry are inspired by the love of God and our
love for God above anything else.  They are also inspired by the love of our
fellowman and the desire to serve in the name of Jesus.  The fundamental
objective is to present the love of God to others through the salvation plan and
describe the benefits of salvation using the Holy Bible.  We also want to give full
attention (body, soul, and mind) to the children, youth, and adults in all areas of
Guatemala (rural and urban), teaching them how to manage themselves properly in
the social world, providing finances, shelter, and general food and nutrition
needs.  We also promote and execute programs which are constituted in the
knowledge and guidance of Christian character.  We direct and manage
educational centers for pre-elementary and elementary schools with technical
training for youth in the surrounding areas.  We also promote and manage medical
clinics, free of charge, to the general population, and especially to those enrolled
in the GMM programs.  Construction projects are also implemented.  These projects
include the building and upkeep of the school and feeding center, recreational
parks, and gardens.  Our future projects are to build and manage a Missions
Center that will house those that come and help with these construction projects
and medical programs and it will also be used for spiritual retreats and lodging for
different Christian activities.  After completion of the Missions Center, our hope is
to start construction on a Vocational Training Center that will teach the youth in
the area how to work with electricity, welding, carpentry, mechanics, and other
skills, providing them with the much needed ability to support their own families.
In conclusion, there are four support columns that hold up Global Missions of
Mercy.  Those columns are faith, love, mercy, and service.

About us, the Mission and the Vision
Mission of Global Missions of Mercy
(Please click the Scripture to read the verses)
Three key passages of Scripture describe the mission of Global Missions of
Mercy, Inc.*  The first is
Isaiah 58:6-12.  This passage speaks of loosening the
chains of injustice, feeding the hungry, providing shelter for the poor and
clothing for the naked and that if we do these things all in the name of the Lord,
how He alone will be gloried.  As He is glorified, He will guide the steps of His
servants in a sun-scorched land.  Secondly,
Matthew 25: 34-40 speaks of how
when we feed the hungry, give the thirsty drink, and clothe the naked, we are
doing these things unto our King, God the Father.  We want to be part of the
sheep when "the Son of Man comes in His glory".  Finally, Luke 4: 18-19, which
can also be found in
Isaiah 61:1, 2, says "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because
He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim
freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the
oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."  These three Scriptures
represent the reasons Global Missions of Mercy began.  We not only want to teach
and feed children, we, above all, want to glorify our Father in heaven, because He
is worthy, and He has called us to do so.
Vision of Global Missions
The vision of Global Missions of Mercy, Inc.* comes directly from the Bible also.
In
Mark 16:15, Jesus says to go into all of creation and preach the Good News.
This Good News Jesus spoke of is still the same today, which is the news that
Jesus has come to set the world free, and we want the world to know it.  In
Matthew 28:19 & 20, Jesus commissions the disciples to go and tell the world of
all that He had said and teach them to follow God's commands so they may
become followers of the true Christ and that they may be baptized with the Holy
Spirit.  This is also our vision, that young and old may become disciples of Jesus
and be baptized.  And finally, in
John 17:3, John quotes Jesus telling the
disciples the way to have eternal life, which is to know the one true God and to
know His Son, Jesus Christ, so our vision for Global Missions of Mercy can be
summed up with a prayer.  Lord, may all that we do and say speak of Your Good
News, the Truth that You are the one true God and that Jesus, Your Son, came to
set the world free.  And Lord, may all that receive and hear this message know
and believe Your Truth, the one and only bondage breaker.
